Comparison between Superior Certified Free-range Layer type and Certified Free-range Meat type Chicks

t is a normal reaction of our loyal customers to compare the Meat type with the layer type chicks. The weight, frame and size of meat types is very different from the layer types.
First of all the meat type are weighing at an average of 35-40 grams and with a large frame. This is important to prepare them to build-up meat. Meat types at 21 days will weigh approximately 400 grams. There is an increase of 10X in just 21 days. And by 30 days they weigh approximately 500. By 60 days they weigh 1.6 kilos. This meat-loader needs feeds to build-up the meat, not just grasses and insect. Therefore you invest in the feeds if you want them have more meat than bones.
In contrast to the Layer type chicks, in terms of, weight, framing and sizes they are smaller.
Our certified layers will only weigh around 25-30 grams (as seen in the pictures). their frames are 20% smaller and they eat much less feeds(around 5 kilos only in 4.5 months). In a matter of 4.5 months (before onset of lay) they will only weigh around 1.7 kilos. Meat quantity is small. But these chickens are geared towards egg production. They produce 260-280 eggs on its first laying cycle as compared to meat types that produces only 120 or less eggs.
To each his/her own as they say. But one thing I can assure you, that our chicks, wether they are meat types or Layer types, (soon Peking ducklings) are Certified true offsprings of Breeders and are very productive, Hardy and Robust! That is the quality of SUPERIOR F1 FREE-RANGE GENETICS!
