Modesty aside, but I can say that we have done a significant contribution to the small industry of Free-range Chicken production.

We have serve thousands of Good quality chicks to small farmers and semi-commercial patrons!

Our customer base is expanding and repeat orders are significant

We have shared our knowledge for free to our clients (Professional technical back-up).

We have given Free our Manuals to those interested with our project.

We will keep on improving the base knowledge of farmers.

This is our solid commitment to our saying,"An Educated Farmer is a Successful Farmer!".

And last but not the least, we have charted a new course in free-range chicken production,

that is, providing farmers a very good genetic F1 of TRUE and CERTIFIED layers that can produce 250 to 280 eggs per year.

This is through the introduction of Dominant CZ, our Free-range layer supplier from Czech Republic.

Indeed it was a very productive year and hopefully we have contributed our small part to the development of the Philippines Livestock industry.

SM Foundation: People Helping People free range chicken program

November 20 2009, Nasugbu, Batangas- The Sm Foundation initiated a free-range production program for the good people of Nasugbu, Batangas. This program aims to create additional skills for the farmers, food on the table and possible commerce of free-range chicken. Ultimately the program targets the farmers to sell their produce in the Municipality of Nasugbu with its tourist market and SM SUPERMARKETS! Wow!

We would like to thank Ms. Cristy Angeles, the Head of the SM foundation, Ma'am Dory Agapay Head of the Agricultural office of Nasugbu, Harold the team leader of Sm Foundation for the project, Che, and the rest of the Agricultural office!

Kudos to you all for your noble intentions to help the Nasugbu farmers and their families!

2nd Bicol ORGANIC CONFERENCE!

November 12, 2009 - The 2nd Bicol Organic Conference was held in Regent Hotel, Naga City, Bicol, Camarines Sur. This was sponsored by PECUARIA a farmer based cooperative in Bicol that has transcended to be recognized worlwide as an ORGANIC Rice producer. They are the ones producing "Healthy Brown rice" found in the Major supermarkets in the Metropolis.

The roadmap that they went through to realize a certified organic level is an inspiration to the freerange industry to emulate!

They are now programming free-range chicken production thru Superior F1 as a farmers component as addtional source of income.

It was an honor to be invited as one of their guest speakers for the occcasion.

Basic Growing points of Farmers Choice/Superior F1 free-range chickens

Here are some pointers to a successful grow.

1. Read and study the free manual I provide via email. Just request for a copy by sending an email to freerangepoultry@yahoo.com Very important to provide your contact numbers so I can validate your request.

2. Plan and Prepare / Prepare and Plan!

a. As much as possible use local / indeginuous materials for the housing and equipments

b. For Fencing (as seen in pictures) use second hand fish nets and bamboo or madre cacao as

posts

c. Pawid or cogon are good roofing materials that are cheap and with good ventilation

d. Half bamboo can be used as feeder throughs

As much as possible we minimize commercial purchases of the farmers to reduce expenses

Even in medications we use herbal based medications that are available in gardens.

You can ask me for the instruction for this. As long as you are our loyal farmer

We dont exploit the innocent farmers to buy from us equipments and medications.

3. Set a space for your ranging area. never cramp the birds to minimize diseases

6. Everybody will go thru a learning curve. be prepared for this but we are willing to support you to be successful.

7. Right tools for the right project!

For you to be successful in your free-range production, you need a reliable source of

HARDY, ROBUST and UNIFORM free-range chicks.

In free-range meat production a single color single genetic line is important to attain a

uniform meat quality. (seen in pictures). Multi-color chickens, in meat production,

produces variations in meat quality.

Choose only hardy chicks. Never get chicks that have poor immune system that suddenly

dies after you have invested feeds and management to it. Never get chicks that in spite of

your utmost care still gets sick and never responds to any treatment. You are just

contaminating your farm by seeding micro-organisms.

LASTLY, Enjoy the farming. Free-range farming must be an enjoyable and rewarding activity. Not a stressfull and money-pit situation
